Privacy Policy

GoHelp ("we", "us") operates a household-jobs marketplace connecting families in Hyderabad with maids, cooks, and nannies. This page explains what information we collect, why, and who we share it with.

If you're a worker submitting Aadhaar — the short version: this is used only to verify your identity for families you apply to, is never sold, and is never shown to families directly. See "Verification documents" below for exactly what is and isn't shared.

Information we collect

When you sign in. We use Google Sign-In for authentication. We receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account — we never see or store your Google password.

If you're a family. When you post a job, we collect the job details you enter (category, area, budget, requirements) and your contact information for payment and account purposes.

If you're a worker. To build your profile, we collect: full name, mobile and WhatsApp numbers, gender, age, date of birth, marital status, a profile photo, current and permanent address, emergency contact details, years of experience, skills, availability, preferred work areas, and salary expectations. To verify your identity, we also collect Aadhaar (front and back) — required.

Payments. When a family pays the ₹999 job-posting fee, payment is processed entirely by Razorpay. We never see or store your card number, UPI PIN, or full payment credentials — Razorpay shares back only a payment confirmation and transaction ID.

Automatically. We store session tokens (to keep you signed in) and, for workers completing the registration form, a temporary draft of your in-progress form saved to your browser so you don't lose your progress if you leave and come back.

How we use your information

To create and maintain your account, and to show you the right experience depending on whether you're a family or a worker.
To let families post jobs and let workers browse and apply to them.
To share contact details between a family and a worker only after that worker applies to that family's specific job — never in bulk, and never before an application exists.
To verify worker identity documents before marking a profile's verification status.
To process payments for job postings via Razorpay.
To respond to support requests and investigate reported listings.

Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

Google — for sign-in authentication.
Razorpay — to process job-posting payments.
Supabase — our database, authentication, and file storage provider, which hosts the infrastructure GoHelp runs on.
Families you apply to (workers only) — your name, category, experience, skills, and phone/WhatsApp number become visible to a specific family only after you apply to their job listing. Your verification documents (Aadhaar) are never shared with families — only your verification status (e.g. "ID submitted") is shown.
Law enforcement or regulators — only if legally required to.

Verification documents

Identity and verification documents you upload (Aadhaar) are stored in access-controlled storage. Only you and GoHelp's admin team (for the purpose of verifying your profile) can access these files — they are not readable by other users, including families, and are never made public.

Data retention

We keep your account information for as long as your account is active. If you'd like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the email below and we'll process the request, except where we're required to retain records for legal or accounting purposes.

Your choices

You can update most of your profile information at any time.
You can withdraw a job application at any time from My Applications.
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by emailing us.

Security

We use industry-standard access controls to restrict who can read your data — for example, a family can never query another family's jobs or applicants, and a worker's sensitive documents are never exposed to anyone but that worker and GoHelp's verification team. No system is 100% secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children's privacy

GoHelp is intended for users 18 years and older. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of GoHelp after a change means you accept the updated policy.
